NameCheap = The Best

    I own around 20 domains (not sure on the exact count anymore) and I use NameCheap as my registar for every one of them! Their nameserver updates are the fastest I've ever experienced, prices are the lowest I've seen, and you get whois guard protection with every domain. Anyone else here a big fan of NameCheap?

    GoDaddy's interface is cluttered and slower to navigate. I don't use the registrar for hosting so I don't need all the extras that GoDaddy tries to push on you at checkout. If you only buy 1 domain at a time, GoDaddy charges $2 for privacy but NameCheap gives it to you for free. Also GoDaddy had the worst Superbowl commercials; they sucked and I can't support that.

    Never thought of that reason to NOT use godaddy~!

    I only use namecheap to buy domains, heck with the coupon codes, you get 10% off.
    Plus it is so much easier with namecheap to push a domain to another user.
    Just plug in the username and it is done!

    Godaddy? They want me to give my personal information to the person who is pushing a domain to me, or vice-versa.
    Bad, bad, bad,,,,,,

    I prefer cheaper domains.... like much cheaper. Like $0.50 a year cheap. Granted I have to switch before auto-renew, back up to $5/yr.

    I am a namecheap fan, most of my domains are on namecheap. Tried Godaddy once, but found that the control panel is really very cluttered with items that I do not use. And like what iowadawg said, transferring domain ownership is rather easier then Godaddy.

    Has anyone tried transferring a domain from another registra into namecheap?

    Yes, I've tried transferring some domains from DirectI and EV1Servers to NameCheap, and they were all successfully completed, with no hassles at all.

    Always been a big namecheap fan. Sad that so many people use godaddy and its the only reason I have many domains on there.

    use this coupon for a discount if buying off namecheap: BESTVALUE . Seen it on one of the digital point posts. I don't know when the coupon runs out but it gave me $1 off each domain per year. Just registering some domains now. Are Nameserver transfers free with namecheap?

    What do you mean by nameserver transfer? Changing & registering new nameservers is free. And I agree that they have lightning fast propagation. Not sure how they do that but, hey, it's great!
