    i have a few domains with namecheap.com. my question is when they renew, do i get another free year of whoisguard subscription?

    AFAIK no.

    The whoisguard comes for a year with new registrations/ transfers. If you want to extend that, you will have to do it separately. They do send you a notice when your whoisguard expires.

    You can buy 5 of them @ something close to 8 bucks, if my memory serves me correctly.
