Its nice to read through so many opinions. Both services are good in thier own ways because some users find it comfortable with GoDaddy and others with NameCheap. I have been personally using NameCheap for couple of years now and they are really good. Speaking about Price well this has gone little up in couple of months but I guess there is always a cost for good service.Name cheap also have coupons which gives you $0.88 as of this month. A simple search for namecheap coupon will give you results.

As for GoDaddy its also a good one especially with the price. They almost give you 2.50% off using coupons. Normally the domain cost you $9.99 which can be registered using coupon for $7.45.

So as you see both are good in thier own ways when it comes to pricing but I would suggest not to just look at the pricing alone because quality of service and speed is also important.

I opted NameCheap for GoDaddy becasue I found GoDaddy a bit slow at times but well thats me. I can definitely recommend Namcheap based on my experience so far.

    Cheers
    Krish

I think the name cheap.com is a good application as a domain host. Although their customer satisfaction and customer service is very poor. That's my major concern there. What I like about Go Daddy.com is they give you a free auto responder and a free e-mail address per domain to me that's essential that's quality service that I have no complaints about I think and feel the Go Daddy.com versus name cheap as it's on and off negative and good side both of them thank you:cool:

Use to register with Godaddy more than few years ago and had bought over 100+ domains from them, now all I have is 1 because I cannot transfer the .WS extension out of there. I now have all my domains through NameCheap.
Affordable and the buying experience is easy, interfaced is nice and clean..no bull company. And plus they offer a 1 year free of WhoIs guard which cost money through GoDaddy. I like their service so much I even went with their hosting one one of my domains, though I don't know if I will extend that to anymore.

    NameCheap!

hmm hate to burst everyone's bubble but wasn't David Airey and Makeuseof formerly registered with GoDaddy? Then their domains got jacked.

I want to buy a domain in godaddy but is it safe using credit card in godaddy. I am afraid that my credit card will be used by others. Is it really true that a domain in godaddy is worth $9.00 dollars?

What's the features of that domain?
    Data Transfer limit?
    Disk Space Limit?

Is it possible to transfer my blogger files into my godaddy.com hosted domain?

-Your credit card will be safe with godaddy, they also accept paypal.

-Data Transfer and Disk Space both have to do with hosting, not domain name registration. Godaddy does offer free hosting with domain purchase but they put ads on your site.

-You can set up blogger to use your own domain without transferring any files.

Well I use both, and Namecheap is a lot better in my opinion. Yes I know GoDaddy is cheaper, and you can get great deals, but I think NameCheap is much more simpler and faster. NameCheap is a lot faster than GoDaddy, Much more easier to navigate, and everything is really simple.

Although I use both, I use Namecheap much more than GoDaddy
