Namecheap issue with registration details

I just got an email from the abuse department at Namecheap complaining that my primary site's registration info had been changed to look like I had whoisguard on - but without paying for it. I've got an unused whoisguard option on my account, I have no need to fake it and I don't hide, so I've changed it back.

I've also asked them to "please explain" because I've never changed my reg info - infact my profile still shows a fax number - haven't had one in years.

Has anyone else had a problem with Namecheap like this?

I've had a reply from Namecheap
At least they've identified it was their issue and can sort things out now.

I never had such problem while using NameCheap. I was about to check all my domains in NameCheap but reading your last post make me think the 'problem' already solved. :)
The only problem I had with them is when I tried to register dot Asia and they solve it quite fast.

used them for years for SSL certificates not Domain names... I have over 150+ domains , heck of a job to transfer them.
