namecheap hosting is teh down?

    my sites on namecheap (or whoever does their hosting - they seem to be a reseller) are down for the past 5-6 hours
    seems like namecheap hosting sucks eh?

    I did a traceroute on namecheap and things seem fine.

    But rumors are that namecheap isn't so good

    It's not good for hosting, it's only good for domain registration. The same is with Godaddy.

    I second that. NameCheap are EXCELLENT for domain registration, but I wouldn't host with them. I would recommend HostGator or iPage for hosting.

    Moving the site today. EVerytime I visit, or even try to ftp, it won't connect. Once in a while I see traffic in Google analytics, so I think it's up at least occasionally.

    Yeah I think namecheap's servers are pentium 75Mhz in an outhouse somewhere.
