Namecheap is displaying the wrong info on one of my domains and its bothering me for some odd reason.

it says it was creatied on Wed 02/15/2006.
When the real date i originally registered on was 15-feb-2005
    http://whois.domaintools.com/damnidunno.com

But for the first year i had it at registerfly (before they started to suck).

So does this info mean the time i created it with them? Has to be that.

Yes domain "creation" date means from the time it was registered or renewed... domain age is a different thing.

It's possible DomainTools didn't update their data, because I checked the link
and here's what I got (posting only the dates):

If you're wondering why it's showing eNom as the registrar, it's because NC is
using their eNom reseller account for now.

I also added another year to the domain earlier. When they update it, it should say 2009 as the expiration.

So namecheap must only say how long its been with them as the registrar, but that names no sense though since registerfly and namecheap were resellers of the same company.

I know a lot of people enjoy using DomainTools' WHOIS, or any 3rd party's for
that matter. But seriously, why rely on a 3rd party's WHOIS service that isn't
always timely accurate and checks the authoritative source anyway?

I checked the link and it's now showing it's good 'til 2009. Same thing with NC.
