    Hi to everyone,

I just came across NameCheap's new web hosting service starting from $2.91. And the good thing is that you can pay monthly.
Did someone already register with them? Are they reliable? What's your opinion on this?

P.S.: I new to web hosting and I want to buy a web host.

    Thanks in advance.

    Well, it is affordable.

But like every domain registrar trying to sell web hosting it will be rocky.. Domain registrars might have the expertise but not the experience, they won't know what to expect.. But if you have a domain, they will know what to tell you and more..

    I sent you a PM..

I have bought hosting with them in the beginning when they started it,their billing system had an error and I didn't receive my account details.
I sent about 2-3 support tickets and about 5 days later I received an email with my details.
I think when they've set everything correctly namecheap will do fine

The price looks like it is good only if you pay for 2 year period.

Not a monthly price. (you need read the fine lines) it is the American way of saying..

As low as $2.91 means if could be higher.

Actually - Namecheap's hosting was built by a team with hosting experience, including owning and operating previous industry-leading hosting companies. We're not just another registrar offering hosting as a side dish.

As for the other poster who didn't receive their welcome email, most likely they were using hotmail/gmail. When we started we had real problems with our welcome emails being marked as spam.

    This is now resolved.

    Hello,

I've registered a domain with NameCheap and they are fine, I'm planning to purchase one of their hosting plans but I can't find the TOS page of their web hosting service

Our TOS is actually still in progress believe it or not. However, I have assured all clients who are in fear of a TOS they may not agree with that they are welcome to a refund of the current term's services if they do not agree with the TOS.

We wanted to ensure it was done in a legal fashion.

A TOS is very necessary these days when you are trying to run a hosting business, people will cross the line very easily.
