Name this decade

We are half way thru this decade and I still don't know what to call it.
We've had the sixties, seventies, eighties, nineties and now....????
Seems most people just call it "this decade" or change their sentance structure to avoid it all together.

I thought it was the aughts (or oughts?) this time around? Naming a decade is just laziness though. As if the same thing that was cool or hip in 01 will be cool or hip in 09. (Such as saying cool or hip )

I've been hearing a lot of kids call it the decade of the Hodge.

Those crazy kids.

 

I wasn't thinking about nicknames but my favorites are the oh-oh's and the oozies.

 

isn't it supposed to be called the tweny hundreds? anyway, i liekthe sound of the twenty ohs.

 

Well I guess this name fits well.
