Hi there, i have a site which is currently moved to a new hosting company.

The problem is that when i access my site with the www version of url it looks fine, but when i access my site without the www infront of the url it brings me to the old hosting company page saying that my hosting account has been suspended.

It's there anyway to fix this? i already change the nameserver to my new hosting company for more than 2 weeks .. but the url without www is still going to the old hosting company?

Can any1 help me out? Thanks! Do i need a mod_rewrite to redirect it to the www version of it? If yes, please tell me how. Thanks again!

First, check what addresses you get for these names and who serves your domain. From the command line type the following (Windows):

    nslookup
    your-domain.com.
    www.your-domain.com.

You should get either same addresses for these two requests or one response for the www version and none for the bare domain name (depending on your configuration). If you are getting two different IP addresses, this is your problem.

    Then type

    set type=ns
    your-domain.com.

This query returns the names of the name servers serving this domain. Make sure it's your current company's domains.

Type exit to stop nslookup. If everything checks out (same IP address for both domains and correct name servers), then you have redirection configured at the web server level. Check your configuration files, source, etc.

Look for your domain name in the configuration files (.htaccess and http.conf). It is probably mentioned under one of the Redirect* or RewriteRule directives.
