Hi Looking for a name for a company. Nature of business. Video production for web and mobile tv, short form factual/entertaining in nature. I am thinking of: King Content (company site will be kingcontent.tv) or Televizzi (company site will be televizzi.com) any thought or ideas? j
I wouldnt use televizzi, IN MY OPINION ... It sounds like some kind of game I like KingContent though...
I would research what your client or consumer searches to find what you're offering and incorporate that into your name, especially if it's going to be your domain name. Unless you put a ton of money behind branding, I find that cutesy, random names don't do well. You have to really knock it out of the park. Otherwise, I recommend a descriptive name that, when your audience hears it, gives them a solid, instant idea of what you do and what you're about.
Probably a simplistic idea, but have you thought about something that's keyword rich? E.g., last web business that I created, I named "Fast Easy Incorporation Kits"... because phrases like "fast incorporation," "easy incorporation," "incorporation kit," and "incorporation kits" are all frequently searched. The other thing about such a name is that almost always you'll get sort of the right anchor text... I don't know your business well enough, but as boring as it sounds names like: VideoProductionForTheWeb dot com WebVideoProduction dot com MobileTVVideoProduction dot com might be a starting point... Just an idea. Good luck!
Well you're going about it wrong. Make a long list in notepad. Go to a registrar and select bulk register. C & P the list, then reg whatever one you liked that is available. Or as many as you want. Don't suggest names here. You can bulk check up to 500 names at my sig if you want. Don't tell people your ideas until after you reg something!
I wrote two blog entries on this topic that you might find helpful... What do I call it? Domain Naming - Part II And I truly hope that you registered both of the names you mentioned as there are folks who seek out domains that someone is talking about to either get some quick cash from ads or extort you for your name back. To be honest, I don't think either of the names you have listed represent your brand all that well; you might want to keep looking.
Thanks. Yes I have reg'd domains. To be clear, the company name is more important than perfect domain for kewording. The company site will just be a token site for other businesses to see what I do but won't be of interest to the public or for driving loads of traffic to. Any more oppinions of : King Content
