    .name domains. Are they worth?. Do they really appear in SERPs. Not sure if they are recognised by SEs. Does anyone know?

    .name domains are good for personal sites only imo. Afaik the tlds do not matter in the search engine rankings. If you optimize your .name site well, it will definitely show up in the SERPs.
