    Sure, we don't need SSL for just blog. When buying a new domain or transfer at NameCheap, you'll have a SSL credit and can use it for other website, in a other time.

    This might be a mistake on my part, i read somewhere that they did but can't remember where, it's best to have it confirmed with name.com by emailing them for clarification.

    I am in the process of transferring my domains to name.com from NameCheap. I like name.com much better. They're cheaper, free private WHOIS and their advanced features actually work. With NameCheap I always had to contact support to change simple things like MX records, CNAME aliases, etc. because their interface always conked out.
