Name change issues with Paypal

Hey guys,

I was trying to withdraw money from one of my paypal accounts to one bank account in India.

However, while transferring the amount, the name does not include my middle name, which was in the registered name for the account.

I requested for a name change. But they replied saying that the name is same, and I dont have to change it.

But my bank account is opened with my full name, including the middle name.

I am afraid if the bank would reject the transaction.

Has any of you faced this issue before?

Never faced that issue but its better you change your name before transaction,. There is a option in Account Tab to cahnge the name but you can't change last name.

 

If the first & last name match there is no issue. Middle name isn't that a issue.

 

I think it doesnt matter.Don't worry

 

before trasver full amount just trasver small part if it sucess then trasver all the money

You dont have to worry about it just make a transaction and it will work, I was having same problem and it works for me

 

As said above. Only first or last name should match with the paypal account. Middle name is not that important.

 

Most banks don't care whether your middle name is on your payment or not. But if you are concerned, you should call your bank and ask.

i wrote to paypal

and got this reply. so i guess its fine .

 

I'm shocked that you have received ANY response from Paypal.

 

My sister in law had this trouble when she and my brother got married. Try mailing Paypal support again and explain the situation and they may either (a) Create an exception for the transfer and allow it (b) Ask you for further name change confirmation (such as ID with your middle name on it).

 

don't worry, i had same issue, but amount came in my account. So forget worries and be happy!
