But I have three right now!

......First is King Kong 1933. I never get tired of it. Loved it since the first time I saw it back in the early 70's. It still looks great, sounds great...the story pulses along........everything is good. For its time it was a huge leap forward. If you look at it now you think to yourself "how the hell did they do that?"

Second is War of the Worlds 1953. I first saw it in third grade and have never forgotten it or tired of it. Those Martian War machine designs are beautiful, the sounds effects are cool, and the story churns quickly along to a big climax straight (by way of a modern updating) out of the book.

Third is Ikiru. A Japanese Kurasawa film. Not everyone's cup of tea probably, but I think it's Kurasawa's best, and the scene near the end with Takeshi Shimura (of 7 Samurai fame) in the swing is heartbreaking and uplifting at the same time.

Those are my first three and I am sticking with them!
