Nabble?

I got free Nabble that I am using with Blogger but the Forum is very basic and its not even full screen. Any suggestions?

How much is Vbulletin since this is the most popular and the best out there?

Soon I will be hosting elsewhere so I don't have to use the Blogspot address. My other question is, will I be to transfer everything like a carbon copy to another host?

VB 4 is $195US i believe. The suite is a bit more.

Mybb is free and i use it on one forum, its great. Probably not as refined as VB, but gheez.....it works well :)

Never heard of nabble before. MyBB is free yes, phpBB is also another good free forum solution. I also suggest IPB over vB as IPB 3 is currently better then vB 4. IPB is also cheaper then vB I believe it is US $150 or so, compared to US $195 for vB. You can convert both phpBB and MyBB to either vB or IPB. Good luck!

So the best free route is MyBB? Can I always transfer it to another Forum service when I get lot of traffic and accounts?

Both MyBB and phpBB are just as good as each other in their own ways. If you host it yourself on a webhost and not a free forum host then yes you can change it to a different forum software provided that it is supported as a conversion option on the software your changing too, but most of the time it is :)

MyBB is practically a clone of vB lol. If you don't like MyBB try phpBB.

Yes, both are possible. Could be "yoursite.com/forum" or also "forums.yoursite.com"

Why would you use vBulletin? The $195 deal is basically going to expire next year when vBulletin 5 comes out (yes, you'll pay again for the updates), and you don't even get ticket support (not that it mattered, cause vBulletin's never helped me when I had one). You honestly made a good choice going with MyBB, as long as you don't use the default theme (for obvious reasons). I explained why I personally picked MyBB here.

    http://www.rockbandhelp.com/forum/Thread-q-a-why-mybb

However, if you want to go to paid, I'd honestly go with IPB over vBulletin. The support there always just fixes the problem for you and tells you what they did after. They've been much better than vBulletin in alternative logins, FURL, and even SEO. Oh, and I didn't even mention IPB's CMS, at least it doesn't have 200+ queries in default configuration.

I have never used blogger for hosting neither do I know how exactly they work. But here's what you'd do normally.

    1. Goto mybb.com and download the forum script.
    2. Upload the files via FTP to your hosting account.
    3. Edit configuration file with database information and you're good to go.

Now I don't know, if blogger allows you to have subdomain or databases. You best bet is to buy a hosting account and start your forum there.
