love the idea, like the theme, but not very impressed with the header. Try create a header. this is one good example, but don't use it as we are not the creators. you can google up something like mummy, or pictures from your own blog, photoshop it and make an attractive header, it will make your blog stands out
i like the look of this blog, even though I agree with the need for something cleaner. It's true that its a nice template, but I prefer white backgrounds and wide columns (just one person's opinion though). The only other thing I would suggest is to get a friend to proofread or edit some of your posts for grammar? I'm nitpicking here, you have a pretty cool blog.
