If you create mysql database do you see it as another folder like /htdocs and /cgibin? Or is it invisible?

Im asking this i cannot manually create a database i have to ask my hosting company to do it for me.

the mysql db(s) are not in a publicaly accessible folder and are typically off one of the OS directories not even accesible by the owner of the site unless you have a vps or dedicated server.

I would have to ask you a couple of questions though:
    (1) why do you need to "manually" create the db and by "manually", I'm assuming you mean via the command line? If you have cmd line access to your server, then you may be able to create a new db even if you don't have access the the location the db's physically reside.
    (2) Does you hosting plan include phpmysqladmin? If so, why not use it to create the new DB?? Most control panels (cpanel/plesk/helm etc) have this capability.

1.Transfer My Existing Domain I believe they will transfer the registrar which is totally up to you

2.I will use My Existing Domain and update My Nameservers only. This is what I did. I don't want my registrar the same as my host. Just a tip I picked up from another member here.

I get angry and annoyed from your avatar.

Why do you really want to change host ?
Dont you have cPanel at the host you are at now. In that case, that is all you need.

Most hosts will provide an install of phpMyAdmin, a free GUI for MySQL. You can use this to do virtually everything that can be done from CLI.

Dude, your host sucks. Get a new one. Transfer the domains to Godaddy, it will be much easier. Go to amazon, and find a book because I know for a fact that you don't know SQL/database administration. Then find a good host, there's tons. I use reseller/hostingzoom.com and they've been great. Go to cpanel, read the tuts. Enjoy.

And why the hell would you want a DB to be in a folder. That makes no sense at all! How in the world would it work, a folder for each DB, a sub folder for each table, and a file for each column? Sounds a lot harder than learning the select command.

Sorry for the bluntness, but it's true. :)

Well, if the directory needs a .htaccess file it should be among the files you uploaded (and that one should be correct), if the directory does not need a .htaccess file, just delete the old one (back it up first.)

I often use LunarPages.com for hosting and they can take care of many of the issues for you. Also, the mysql and control panel options are fairly straightforward to use. PM me for detail questions if desired. :)
