    One main reason is open source licenising , It offers Cheap maintenance , high performance and great reliability;
    Also Highly compatible with all operating system namely Linux, Windows, Unix

    Both are open source. If we prefer both the hosting charges will be less.

    Open sources is the great reason to use both together but php support mostly databases and we also can use mysql with other languages.
