    Hi mates,

I have few quick questions regarding forum script & MySQL database:

I am about to launch a community and for that I am planning to go for a free forum script (SMF or MyBB). So what do you guys think:

    1. Which is the best script to use for "community form/bulletin board"; SMF or MyBB? I know many (almost everyone) would go for VBulletin, but at the moment, I am just making myself familiar with this forum thingy (installation, management & etc.), so I am going for a free one.

    2. In future (hopefully), if I want to switch to VBulletin script from any of the above free forum scripts (SMF or MyBB), then would be there any problems?

    3. What about MySQL database? Is it going to be easily integrated with VBulletin while switching from SMF or MyBB, or will there be any difficulties?

I look forward for your big help guys.

    Thanks,

    1. both are fine, there are several post about SMF or MyBB. I'd try both than keep the one you like
    2. nope, both are covered under impex and can be easily imported to vBulletin
