OMG I think Im about to faint....

There i am browsing my website, when all of a sudden the network starts timing out. 20 min later the website reads "Error establishing a database connection"

I checked MySQL Databases and it says "There are no databases associated with your account."

WTF. I cant afford this mess, 5 forums and a dozen blogs are gone! All that time invested...all that money......bollocks....might as well go sell my body.

I've contact my host, as one does when the shizer hits the fan. But in the mean time can anyone shed some light on why this has happened.

I think i just might cry.

Hacked, or possible the database that hosts SQL servers from your host is down. This happened to me once because a disc broke on the server that contained my websites sql servers.

    Seconded. ;)

Pretty much have to wait until your host gets back to you. All hosts have had corrupted tables from time to time.

I would say you were hacked. That is why you should keep backups

Give it some time, it will probably come back up. Your host may have restarted the servers that host the databases. It happens sometimes. You may also want to open a support ticket.

I think hackers have better things to do than go after random sites.

Considering that this thread is now 4 days old, I hope the original poster had their issue resolved. Would love to know what the resolution on the matter was.
