Lots of databses and tables in my account have crashed.

They say they are "in use"

What should I do? Can this be fixed?

    here is a screenshot.

This is another screenshot for the database that runs Think Rugby. I have not done anything to it at all and this is what it looks like:

Whats the best way to fix this quickly?

    Thanks

I would select the tables like in the first screenshot and in the dropdown for " With selected ", choose " Repair ".

    I tried that!

For the first screenshot I get this error message:
    etc for each table...

This isn't true though! I haven't done anything. I only upgraded WP! And it even worked for 20 mins fine!

For the second DB I get this error:
    etc.. for each table!

What have I done? I didn't toouch that DB, it just broke!

I had exactly the same problem few weeks ago.

I saw you'r using phpmyadmin, so try pressing on the database name, then on the right side press Operations.
Then in the field: Copy database to:
enter new databases name (actually making a backup)
and then trying to REPAIR that backup'ed database.
If cusses, then move the repaired database to the original one and should be fine.

The thing is that I have tried to fix the DB that was broken but I couldn't, so I fixed the newly created/copied DB and then moved it back to it's place.

    Hope that helps.

The best way is to contact your WebHost..
They use to keep the backups in very hour and they must be having the correct update for you..

I don't think anything was restored or anything. It just happened out of nowhere.

I tried coping it but I keep on getting told that I don't have permission.

Is there a mysql command I can run which I can use as a php script?

Nobody is saying that you did that. If it worked for 20 mins then might be possible your host has upgraded the MySQL after your upgrade, co-incidence:)

Did you ask your host whether they have upgraded the MySQL version or not?

They are checking with the actual server providers!

Lets hope it doesn't take long!
