I have few web folders protected by .htpasswd through .htaccess. Some of these web pages are plain php pages, some others are cms with mysql engine. The strange thing is when accessing these pages via LAN they work as normal. But, when accessing these web pages via WAN the one with a mysql engine runs very slow, doesn't show the pictures, and render the pages templates wrong. The plain php pages workes as normal. My question is; how do I password protect a web folder w/o having the rendering problem via WAN?
