MySpace... what the hell!?!

Anyone else notice a HUGE shift in traffic? I'm getting much less than before, not sending my sponsors nearly enough. I'm probably down at least half.

Any way of earning CPM off MySpace traffic?

I've been having the exact same problem today. I'm down at least 50% too in traffic from last week, and my search engine rankings have all either gone UP or stayed the same. Weird. Probably just a seasonal thing... MySpace users are way too fickle :/

How do you promote your sponsors? Do you use an adder or do you post bulletins as it depends on your method of promotion as well.

    JP,

I'm quite curious, have you not been contacted by MySpace about affiliates spamming there? We have been terminating affiliate accounts for spamming on myspace, you seem to be noticing "fluctuations" from their accounts.

Myspace is a hellhole now because of the spammers. Not that it was so great before lol

You guys need to get good URL's for traffic.
I have had my Myspace URL for under 3 months now and already have received 210,000+ natural profile views (type ins)

Maxbounty sent out an email this morning about banning any and all promotion via myspace.

Hmm now the downfall starts not many people will be making much from affiliates anymore. Back to the basics monetize your site for traffic or use pay per click.

Yeah that is weird because in another thread another MB affiliate denoted an e-mail saying they are not allowing MySpace advertising any longer.

JP, you have some 'splaining to do. :)

Google is playing around with custom search results lately based on your individual search habit... The new Google toolbar tracks your searches so they can build a more result oriented search... might be the cause of the lower overall Search performance accross the board but like you siad it could be seasonal.
