There is lots of buzz coming out of the affiliate summit today about Myspace going after 50 spammers for the tune of $20,000,000 dollars. Myspace scammers beware!

I warned people about this. I know someone who has been sued and they will get you for pounding their system. Their new TOS as of last year makes sure you will pay through your nose for years to come. They also went after him for some things that can result in jail time on top of fines.

If a suit has been filed, the information is public and should be available somewhere.

I'm gonna assume probably the 10 big affiliate networks, because most of them had stuff all over myspace.

Myspace won't win much, there's no evidence.

I am glad because I have a myspace site for promoting one of my sites and in a single day I had 439 pages of comments left by spammers. I have gotten to where I cannot even use my site.

You're just as bad as them, using myspace to promote your site.

He could be using it for a community for his site or as a medium of some sort...doesn't mean he's taking his MySpace page to the extent of spamming

Spammers leave trails all over the place. There certainly isn't a lack of evidence. The FBI takes this sort of stuff serious when large companies are involved and pushing justice to be done.

Good, Myspace finally cracks down on these spammers. I cant stand them. When 75% of my friend requests and messages are not real, i get pissed. I report every spam message i get, to ensure that they get deleted. I bet these guys cost myspace $20 million in bandwidth costs, so i think its fair game. If any of you guys are myspace spammers, please stop. Its very annoying and it almost makes me want to hack your site. As you can tell I am very passionate about this issue.

They aint going after people, they are going after affiliate networks.

I saw the list and what i found shocking was azoogle is on it. along with maxbounty

Cpa Empire is being hit the hardest for 75million or it may have been 7.5mil

because Scott Richter did it himself and he owns Cpa Empire the third biggest spammer in the world. But will they win I have no idea.
