I know most people heard of those myspace sites, racking in 100k a month for providing free graphics and free layouts etc. Just wondering if you guys are still seeing this type of revenue?
MySpace clicks are not high at all. You need gynormous amount of traffic. Even then, there is no way anyone making that a month.
guess you don't know what you're talking about then. freeweblayouts.net - over 100k a month pimpmyprofile.org - over 100k a month whateverlife.com - 10k a day last I heard The potential is out there for myspace type sites. I'm not sure about now though, but it might be still possible to get started.
I see where qwestcommunications is coming from, the niche itself is still booming, but the failure rate is in the 98% tile when it comes to new social sites. Traffic dictates the earnings towards them we can all agree, so technically your all right
It all depends on how well you promote. A lot of myspace webmasters are still generating $xxx/day. It's not hard if you know how to optimize your ads.
What would you say is the CTR for a MySpace site on average? THe CTR tends to be lower than 1% for most, I think. I agree its a still a very good niche to work in hence Google's recent deal with MYSpace. Certainly, Google thinks its stilla very good niche to work in.
You would need to very good with search engine optimization to get any good ranks with it though. For example freecodesource.com is #1 for myspace layouts and has 470,000 something backlinks.
Those are bogus at least the whateverlife is. It was a advertising campaign to create a stir....It did a great job, look at how many people know about that site now..
Still a lot of people acccording to alexa.com whateverlife.com - 6045 freeweblayouts.net- 5,497 Pimp-My-Profile.com - 963 O_O It's not bogus for them. They started early and got really lucky. It's not even word of mouth that spread their traffic across the myspace nation. It's a simple html code.
I use myspacemaster.net No pop-unders and they have unique layouts. like this myspacemaster.net/myspace-layouts/preview/7407 heh heh
a lot of my traffic is myspace related, although it's not a "myspace site".. I'd say my earnings are pretty good, but nowhere near $100k/month... and oh, Adsense only accounts for 40% or so of earnings..
