I'm relativly new to myspace and I've decided to take the plunge and try and see if I can generate some business through it (Here's my profile - feel free to add me if you want www.myspace.com/westofirelandevents) Anyways, when I look at other people's profiles I see the comments made on their page. A lot of the time people are posting large graphics as part of the comment and I just want to know how they do this. I'm sure it's fairly straightforward but I don't know where to even look; is there a signature feature? Do I just type in straight HTML? I just want to know how they do it, as most of them are basically embedding small graphic versions of their flyers for their gig on there and I think it's a great way to advertise. I mean it's myspace so it shouldn't be all that complicated but rather than spend the next half hour blundering through all the menus I thought it'd be much easier if I just asked here.
1. Write a new comment. 2. Then go to websites that allows you to have a picture embeded in the comments. Just search Google "myspace.com comments" e.t.c and you will find thousands of these websites. 3. Grab the code e.x <a href=http://www.coolmyspacecomments.com><img src=http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff282/ky9rg/hifunny/03.jpg title="MySpace Comment Codes" border=0></a><br><a href='http://www.coolmyspacecomments.com'><font size="2">Glitter Graphics & Comments</a> </font> Code (markup): 4. Copy & Paste it into your comment.
Actually that's not right, Myspace accepts (certain) HTML elements in comments, however if you put a link in a comment (or anywhere else on myspace) it will be redirected through msplinks.
it accepts any link, and the image will show, it will just be redirected to msplinks.com to prevent link spam, and the above works normal
Right, so I can do just as mentioned above, but it will be converted to msplinks, just as my web address is on my profile. Incidentally, a lot of these myspace profiles have whopping huge page rank - is there any way to get myspace to follow links directly?
