Be careful, if you get too good at spamming myspace, err I mean marketing on myspace a woman with a pretty voice and a stern message will phone your house/office.

If you don't stop after that you can expect a Cease & Desist.

My personal experience in September 05 caused by some myspace "marketing" I did.

Unless of course by the word "marketing" this thread is actually referring to purchasing advertising on myspace, in which case ignore my previous post.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but "MySpace Marketing" sounds a bit creepy.

You fools are 1) pretending to be "Sexy women" in your profiles
    2) Pretending to be "friends" with mostly teenage males

What separates you from pedophiles again?

I also heard that Myspace traffic was down by a significant percentage in September. Why? "Spam" AKA "Myspace Marketing".

It's against the TOS, and it's running people off the website. How is this good marketing again?

Well I guess if the people are running off to the spammer's site, it's good marketing

I'm receiving excellent results from sending bulletins out to Myspace members.
It's sheer weight of numbers, send your message to enough people and a % will convert. Same as visitors to your site, about 1 in 130 sign up or buy your product or whatever.
Maybe it's spam, maybe it's not ... the bottom line is that bulletins do work.

first of all your utilizing 100 million viewers....ok i guess if you niche niche it down its not that much

but if you use your profile effectively use list and friends to your advantage you will do well. There are some people using myspace to make hundreds ,.....ok It might take a bit of initial setting up on your part but you cant beat the social networking aspect of a site like this....there are sites copying myspace....squidoo and co ....but you still wont break the power and strength of good ole' myspace.

    cheers

It really depends on what you are doing and how you go about doing it. Deceptive practices are kind of . . . well deceptive. I don't really agree that you will benefit yourself much since a lot of folks on Myspace these days can smell a rat. However, if you are actively participating in groups, using classifieds when applicable, and building a networking list of relevant "friends," Myspace can help you gain a client base. Again, it depends on how you go about doing it.

There are people making 30k a month and more and it all revolves around posting bulletins to Myspace members ....

Bulletins do work, the traffic you receive can be huge, you just have to know the product you are selling and how to market it through a bulletin.
And no, I'm not one of the people making big $ :D . I do make some decent change though ;) .

Do you mean making 30k by selling bulletin postings or by advertising their sites through bulletins?

They make it by advertising there sites through bulletins.
Some people claim to they make 100k+ per month through posting direct affiliate links in the bulletins but I think you could divide that by 4 after allowing for exageration :D

Whatever way you look at it there is good money to be made by targetting the 120million myspace members.
