I'm hearing more andmore about successful Myspace ad campaigns, has anybodey here done this sort of thing? Any suggestions on how to get started? I created a profile for my website but now what? Do you just start posting to random peoples profiles?
lol.. Try to add lot of friends on your myspace account. And then start posting on your bulletin board. And you will see the result on your traffic. Goodluck man.
With the amount of traffic that MySpace has these days, building a network of friends is bound to drive some traffic. I don't know if it will bring in a lot of links to your site for helping your SERPS, but in the end the whole point is to get traffic however you can, so marketing on MySpace has a lot of possibilites.
I'll post a warning for those wanting to do MySpace bulletins or blogs as an advertising opportunity. I just bought Adder Robot 3 days ago. It automates MySpace friend invites & bulletins. However, it is not like many other programs that post data directly to MySpace. Instead, it has a browser built-in, and you can watch it clicking links & sending out friend invites, etc. The reason I mention that is because it makes it VERY hard for MySpace to detect & ban you for using an automation tool. Adder Robot behaves like a human as far as logfiles are concerned. The other thing to mention is that when I bought Adder Robot, they had a warning on their FAQ page that said that MySpace had decreased their max number of daily friend invites. It used to be 500. It supposedly dropped to 350. If you hit that, your account is supposedly toast. So my account was deleted today. No notice. I only sent 100 friend invites 2 days ago. That's it. I've since learned that new accounts might have even more limitations on how many invites you can send out in a day, which might explain why Adder Robot stopped at exactly 100 invites. I had set it to go to 300 invites, if it could. Anyway, all of this is to say that if you're hoping to blast out a few bulletins to 10,000 of your closest friends, it won't happen easily. You'll need to go very slow, or risk losing all your work. -Tony
I have created one for a website of mine, but I would not go adding randoms. It is useless. However inefficient, I sifted thru and looked for people that were 'on-topic' with my subject - it takes longer but your audience is interested, at least that is known. Post comments with links to your site on 'friends' pages - The show up in the SERPS. Whenever people requested or accepted friendship, I would leave them a comment and put them in my 'top 8'. More exposure and they feel like you are more than just a picture on their list. I used to use the free trial of adder robot, its limits are like 50 friend requests a day, but I stopped for fear of losing my account. It is a useful tool, but don't over do it. Get it running and then forget about it and maintain it from there. Good luck dude.
