Selling advertising is fairly simple for this site; I made over $100 in one week selling space last month. In all, last month I sold $175 worth of advertising. I haven't tried selling adspace for this month, but I'll that for YOU to make that money.

Traffic comes from everywhere: Google, MySpace, direct type-ins, msn, yahoo, the link exchange I've done for the site, referrals, and Friendster. All the traffic is targetted, so everyone coming is there for myspace.

Site gets 60,000 pageviews a month, 40,000 uniques a month, anywhere from 2,000 to 4,000 uniques a day, and anywhere from 9,000 to 35,000 pageviews a day.

This site is a MySpace site directed to the users of myspace. Users can get layouts, backgrounds, and various codes for they myspace profiles.

There are many features on the site worth coming back to the site for.

I have purchased MySpace Train script that is retail $40. It enables people to get many friends. This runs by itself because the users post bulletins that advertise the train (and the website) to many other users.

There is a top friends list (which is currently empty because it just reset). It puts a link on their myspace back to MSHangout with a special referral link, so the person with the most referrals gets to be on top of the list.

There is a phpBB forum. It is not really active, but it helps with SEO. The latest posts are shown on every page. The titles from the posts actually bring in traffic from google.

There is a lot of link exchange. On the right side is a moving block of links, and on the left links that are related to myspace.

There is a custom-made countdown script also. People can put code to countdown the days to their birthdays, events, etc. This feature also places a link back to MSHangout under the countdown.

All of the layouts, background, smilies, and other graphics link back to MSHangout. The banner of MSHangout is also custom made.

In the stats block, it shows how many graphics there are and how many users are online. These numbers are all real.

Do you do any advertising for the site? How much time a week are you spending on the site? (maintenance and filling out orders?)

 

I haven't done any advertising for the site in the past couple of weeks, so no advertising. I am spending no time on the site a week. I believe that adding a few more graphics here and there will not increase the popularity of the site. My goal is to get traffic.
