MySpace are currently taking legal actions against these types of sites, so be careful!

 

Just curious but what claims would they have? The train site wouldn't be breaking myspace TOS as they are not members. The users would be breaking TOS but wonder how an individual site that list people could be something myspace would be able to take legal action against.

No! I should of made it clear! I am looking for websites like http://tonsofadds.com and http://loadsofadds.com. Sorry for that guys. They aren't illegal as far as I know?

 

I know they're not illegal, but MySpace doesn't like them and they know 99% of people will bow down to their demands rather than fight the legal action. Read here for example, and that's just a tracker site.
They claim you're profiting from the MySpace trademark.

 

Hm I see what you mean Mic - I think tracking sites are eligible for an argument because it's breaching privacy and using the Myspace name. I would think adding websites would profit myspace though - I don't see how that could cause argument.

 

But remember they have to keep shareholders happy, and shareholders will want them to actively protect their trademark, even if the site is complimentary to them.

 

I've got http://www.toomanyadds.com for sale. And no, there is no way that Myspace could take legal action against any site used as a service. As long as they aren't using Myspace in their name, they should be fine.
