Rupert Murdoch is offering it for a mere $100 million: http://news.cnet.com/8301-1023_3-20058131-93.html Any takers?
Wow... They are selling it 400million less than they bought it and earnings are down 70million from last year. Sounds like a great investment..NOT
Not surprising. If anyone buys it, it'll only be for the little bit of traffic that's left. There is no saving that sinking ship.
Sad story for myspace. I was using them before as one of my favorites, but now they are going down.. Hope that there would be something new after myspace..
Sorry Myspace is not failed one! nowadays Music wise world no 1 community! so your investment never loosed
It is a shame, but its all part of the online world. I used MySpace once and hated it. Not userfriendly IMO.
My space is working good and have lots of traffic but i dont know what is the reason of sale of this huge website.
I remember thinking way back in 2003 that myspace had it all figured out, I guess you always have to be on your toes in this business or someone will take you out.
They should have left the original owner and staff to work on it from the very beginning. What a waste.
It is not looking good for them. Seems to be a similar story to bebo, which also was very popular at one point, but I guess that facebook overtakes everyone now. That being said myspace could still live on, after all friendster is still going strong in some parts.
My Space was the best of all. It was a time when, Myspace was the leader. Today, if we see with a positive eye, MySpace is still in top 5 Social networking website. But what to do with Facebook, which is swallowing all others. Hope for the best foe MYSpace.
