Would you say MySpace is dead? I have an account with roughly 6k friends, it used to be a hit but it seems it's dry.
Just now I was watching a myspace advertisement in TV, I don't think it's dead... not yet, it's trying to survive at the Hurricane Facebook. MySpace have great potentials that Facebook doesn't have... but... eh, maybe it's real that Simplicity is better. Have a look here: I mean, it's something that's happening to all the Social Network: And seems that the worst one is Friendster... look how's going down: While Facebook...
And... Curiously QQ (China) is ok! As well Twitter... very healthy! Tagged... suffering too... Yeah, the Hurricane Facebook is provoking problems to the other Social Networks... but don't you think that soon or later Facebook will be replaced by another Social Network or that the Social Networks phenomenon will disappear?
myspace was huge just like a year ago and now its eaten up by facebook but facebook will probably be replaced by something "cooler"
Man, I really loved MS..I was really good with it, I sold multiple MS accounts for 200$ each..having 50k friends. =|
Myspace is on a massive decline. Unless they start re innovating I wouldn't expect to see them around for much longer. Look at what happened to Bebo, Hi 5 and all the others that lost their way. They have faded into obscurity.
Yeah, Facebook is growing up. But what about the social network which is as simple as facebook and offered theme customisation just like myspace? What about the customisation which was much simpler than MySpace which does not require HTML knowledge? Something similar to twitter's customisation but with more options? Would just take off and beat the facebook?
there is even a new movie about facebook now, thats mad isnt it, myspace never had a film about it haha
It's gonna be tough for Myspace to make a come back. The rate at which facebook is gaining new signups is phenomenal.
I think Myspace is still trying maybe they will come up with some new gimmick to bring people back. It's just a matter of time until something new comes along to replace Facebook and then we will be asking, "Is Facebook dead?"
I wouldn't count myspace out quite yet, they still have a lot of people there. It's important never to discount any potential sources of business. Facebook is the hot ticket right now, but that also means all the big dog marketers will be turning their sights and massive war chests fighting for market share.
what about good old yahoo? they have incorporated the feature from social network like "update" "buzz"... myspace is not going anywhere.. its core audience of bands, musicians, and fans are still not challenged.. they will become a niche player like linkedin?
