Well I am not sure if MySpace think I am a big Eurythmics fan or they just picked out the best candidate to show me, to appeal to me, from my old MySpace friends list, but I got an email from MySpace earlier today (the first in ages) and it was to show me Dave Stewarts new profile.

Seems MySpace has a whole new look! Take a look >

What do you think of the new look MySpace?

First impressions are good... I'll have to dig out my old account and see how it's looking :)

Funnily enough I am thnking the same thing. I have over 500 musicians on my MySpace friends list and very little else, rather strangely and can't even remember the last time I even looked at MySpace.

They must be getting hammered - have had to do refreshes to get past the login and account upgrade pages

Looks a bit naked, all my old content is gone: https://myspace.com/itamer

    I just found mine to > https://myspace.com/hostted

Ironic that login choices for MySpace now includes FB and Twitter when we think back on how MySpace was bigger than FB a while back and now FB has the position MySpace once had in the SN world.

Ironic in that there is no login for/via MySpace happening the other way round.

Can you imagine the loop as one goes to the other for a login!

I just downloaded the ios app and it's really nice. I'm not much of a music buff but it will be interesting to see how it grows.

My local radio station included questions about streaming radio in their latest music poll - although they don't have links to MySpace up on their site they must be watching to see how things develop

That would not be a smart move on Facebook's or Twitter's part as it may run a risk to put Myspace "back on the map".

Even though I doubt that there is much that can be done to get the network back to popular.

They were bought for 580 Million in 2005 and resold in 2011 for 35 Million.

And it has been many years since someone asked me "Do you have Myspace?".

I seem to remember it was musicians abandonaing MySpace due to MySpace policies and the way the artists we're being treated thta led to the downfall of MySpace in may respects. At least the way things developed that was my perception at the time.

Muso circles and the sway they all have IMHO and to mind proving the power a large real celeb faction and how they find things can play a major part.

Will be interesting to see if things have changed in that regard so it attracts the artists and if it helps them and their fans and both are kept happy as if artists promote as it helps them promote there is no telling what can happen.

Look at how Google are/have been using Will I am...

I do like it but it just seems like it would be so hard for them to rebound after being obsolete for how long? I'd say 3-4 years now?

I'm ready for something new in terms of social networks, I really enjoy Path by Dave Morinn, though not from a business standpoint.

I think MySpace has had its day, people have moved on and lost interest.
