Bloodwath, Basically what he has are two MySpace account with a total of about 22,500 friends or contacts. What he would do for you is to send out your advertisements or bulletins to those friends. Like newspaper advertisement, as an advertise you can determine what time of the day and which day you want your advertisement to go out to his lists of contacts. Technically, the whole thing is to get word out about what you are offering as part of the advertisement. If his contact likes what you see, you can get some traffic there. Some may go to the extend of digging your site.
It all depends. If the friends list is mostly train whores they won't bother checking bulletin posts because they're just there to get tons of friends so they can try to sell their account or profit from it like the original poster. If their friends list is actually people who are on MySpace for the social aspect then you can expect many visits to your site. Friends lists like that are hard to find.
Well, frankly speaking, it hasn't actually generate a lot traffic from it yet but then again, it could be that I was just trying to promote my arcade game site and my promo text was not enticing for them. So far according to Webalizer, I have about 82 hits from it last month and 4 hits this month. I am sure others would have better success with this. I'll say just use it for the publicity to get the word out that you are here.
