What language are those sort of programs written in? Same as the ones which can check proxies etc?

    Thanks :)

i wouldn't be surprised if a whole bunch were in perl, given that there are a lot of CPAN modules to add myspace functionality. perl == holy grail of hacks.

I tried to write one with my limited knowledge in programming.

You can do it with VB6 or Visual Basic 2003 or 2005. Mass bots used VB6 at one time.

Will Visual Basic Express (free from MicroSoft) accomplish the same as VB6?

Yes perl is by far the best because of all the built in myspace modules. I create all my bots with perl.
