Just curious how much you believe that Myspace earn from Google Adsense? It is clear that they will be generating millions of page impressions by the day but I wonder what their CTR is? I have read many articles where questions were asked whether Myspace was a good deal for Google but others turned that thought Vice-a-versa! The thing with Social Networking sites is that with guaranteed high traffic you should be able to earn enough from companies advertising merely on impressions than have to worry about clickthroughs, which I would have thought aren't great. The typical Myspace member wants to open their profile, read through their emails and then logoff! Atleast on niche sites the targetted Adsense will provide relevant Ads to visitors searching for specific information... so in this sense I would have thought that CTR is very low for Myspace. Any thoughts? Who do you think is benefiting the most from the partnership?
I'd assume they earn a lot from adsense on Myspace, they must be to stick with it. They must be getting a pretty good CTR or else they would have changed to CPM adverts, or their own advertising thing (they could set one up easily and get people to sign up). Adsense isn't the only advertising on Myspace though.
