Well you've got a good concept but I am not sure I agree with the static background and the scrolling text idea. Looks so 90s and plain.

Making it a blog will be a much better option for you.

Also the same complaint with me... the background has problems. I'd also center the navigation on the top, and maybe beef it up a little (unless you're trying to match it to the adsense links?).

I like what you did with the individual page backgrounds for each console though.

You have all the ingredients that will make it a great site but it went wrong in the way it was all presented.

    My Suggestions:

    a) Layout: Change the layout completely, this layout does not look professional.

    b) Color: Black is the most powerful color and for a site like this it will be highly appropriate. So, I would prefer you using the same color

    c) Try to have a table : on the left display the image of the particular item like Playstation or PC etc; and at the right have a small description of the same.
Once when the visitor clicks the image a small popup will open and will display a bigger picture.

    d) Have a banner at the top. At the top you can have some mouse over buttons as well.

Overall: You have displayed all those that is needed for a visitor, the only problem is with the way you presented it. Just try changing it and you are done with a great website!

Nice idea why not just start a blog and blog it?? There are some cool templates out there that would suit your theme
