Have any of you use MyFreeCopyright before? Does it provide good protection?

I have noticed alot of people using this website and to be honest I think its a good idea but also a bad one!

Basically you upload your brand new website with the date you built the website and they hold it for when you need it. They are simply a "witness" to say that you sent them your files and they state you uploaded it at 20:10 24/09/2006 so if someone states they made your copyrighted product they will have to prove original before that date, if they cant then you win ;)

Other than that there is nothing else they offer to support you, plus you have sent them your copyrighted product and I wouldn't trust that(MY OPINION ONLY).

All you have to do is simply get your copyrighted product and post it to yourself and never open it once delivered to your door and also do the same and send to a very trusted friend or friend and ask them NOT to open it.

    hope that helps

I would speak to a legal eagle if I were you

Copyright is a very harsh subject matter and it is better to have someone that understands it...

    I hope this helps

Not necessarily. It won't stop some morons from stealing your site's content
and posting them as their own.

If anything, it puts people on notice you have a copyright on your work and
you're keeping track of it online somehow.
