MYBB Forum question

Hello, I'm going to use MYBB or PHPBB for a new forum because I don't have money to run a Vbulletin forum.
    1) Is there some addon similar to the itrader feedback in Vbulletin?
    2) Is there anyway to use MYBB or PHPBB reputation for that purpose?
    3) As you think what is the best from these two MYBB or PHPBB?
    Thanks.

Thank you for the advice to go for PHPBB. I like PHPBB forums but I thought MYBB was better than PHPBB. Is there any feature in PHPBB for itrader feedbacks?

Mybb already comes with a reputation system. No addon required.

Hello..... RectangleMan, is that reputation system bound to a certain thread? or can we enhance it to bound to a thread and rename it as itrader or etrader. I prefer etrader. Please help.

reputation system can only be applied to the whole board, not to specific threads or forums in MyBB. You can change name, but you have to do it manually as there is no plugin available for this. There is also a "thanks in threads" plugin available in addition to reputation system for MyBB. I personally use MyBB for my forum.

If you cannot bind a reputation to a certain thread it's doesnt' work like vbulletin itrader, does it? One rating should be associated with a particular deal. Does PHPBB have something like itrader in VB?

I plan on creating a complete trading feedback system to accompany Mybb as a plugin. Probably a couple months away though. I create mybb plugins and release them at Mybb Central.

From a security point of view, you would be better off with MYBB then PHPBB. Regardless of the modifications that you want, they do not do any good if your site has been brought down by a hacker.

I have seen too many phpbb forums hacked to recommend it.

SMF is best for it's security but MyBB is also good.

People, I'm confused with your opinions :(. Some recommend PHPBB,SMF while others recommend MYBB. Please tell me what is the better one? How do I get to know this?
I see RectangularMan runs a successful MYBB forum. Are you creating a plugin or addon for itrader feedbacks? if so it'll be a great favor to the people who cannot use VBulletin. Thank you all :)
