Just had too share... I've had my youTube account for three years, I have about 100 videos and 300 subscribers. None of my videos are terribly popular outside of it's niche. My top video has 745,000 views. I keep hearing about people using YouTube and hot trends for Internet marketing. I figured I would experiment and throw together a video about a hot trend (but nothing marketable). I've never had a video take off as fast as this one did. 20 minutes after uploading I had 20 views and 3 comments. 6 hours after uploading I had 805 views. Sometime between hours 6 and 7, the video was picked up by the Entertainment Weekly website and my video recieved over 9,500 views within 3 hours. My video has since cycled off the front page and the view rate is winding down. 24 hours after posting, the video has about 13,000 views. Now, if I could just figure out a way to cash in on this...
