70,000 "bot" views on my youtube video yet no traffic to my site. Should I wait until the bot views climb to 80k to 150k? Was hoping for at least some traffic!
what are you talking about "bot" views.... if they are bot views or produced by a program, of course no one is going to click it.... no one is going to go to video just because you faked the stats... I LOL'ed
lol... i do blackhat type things but sh*t like that has always seemed stupid to me... faking plays on myspace band... faking youtube views... makes no sense... you cant fool someone into liking your stuff! if a youtube video is good, it will organicaly expload anyway, if you plant a few seeds... just my thoughts
Bot views bring organic views. That's why I'm confused there are no real views now. Negativity can leave my thread.
As popnyc says, bot views will increase organic views, purely because people will go onto the 'Most Viewed This Month' or similar honour lists and click on them to see what all the fuss is about. However, if the video is no good then it doesn't matter if you are in the 'Most Viewed All Time' list, people wont bother viewing your site because the video was awful. To get organic views from bot views, not only do you need to make a good video, but you also need to grab people's attention with your URL. Put a watermark on the bottom of the video or something...
Thanks for the super suggestions Do you think a watermark will significantly help traffic? Rather than posting the URL on Youtube? Right now I have my URL on the top of the video and in the description, something that is clickable. How do I put a watermark in? Is this within the video? It isn't the Youtube thumbnail, is it?
Try changing your tags, do some keyword research and find what people are searching on your topic! Use those keywords in your title and descriptions also
Take it into a video editing program and you can put it on. When I'm home tonight, if you send me the video then I'll watermark it with your URL and send it back to you if you aren't able to do it yourself . The new annotation system is pretty good, too. Make an annotation with your site URL
Good idea, but then you always run the risk of creating a negative image and reputation for your website. In my opinion it's better to just create a really good video
Views of a video is a factor that plays into ranking video's on YouTube search. A video with 20,000 views is more likely to show in related vids and search to a similar video with low views.
