I've always had success with their CS. (sometimes have to sort through the forms), but I am so happy that your data was not lost. This is really something to think about. I believe I will download text formats of all of my yahoo mail today (important ones), or forward to a different account. I was really scared when I first saw your thread. Wake up call! I had some similar happenings with a mail client by mail.com. They locked me out, fixed it within a week, and said, oops, sorry. But the problem is that I was using paypal for the addy and I lost some important information. I was so angry!!!

I am curious as to what prompted the lock out, any clues?

Yeah, something made me change my Y! password and could not remember it the next morning. I tried to recover it X times since I was unsure about the security questions and answers, and finally got it figured out but the system had already locked it out due to multiple failed attempts.

So I was advised to contact them for support which I did and got my account unlocked. Eventually, they asked me a few security questions as well as mailbox related questions such as the folder structure, address book entries etc.

Someone could have deleted your account. It's very possible.

Give them a call to find out about it:

People, when are you going to learn that the best thing is to have your own email at your own domain! If you have bad hosting (aka with a lot of spam and such) just sign up for Google Apps and start ruling!

I have most of my domains set up with Google Apps and I have my customized logins and I'm really happy with it especially after the fact that I can hook up several different domains and add them as "aliases" in my Google Apps so I can receive them in the same account.

Also Google Apps is still free which simply ROCKS!

I used to pay for my Yahoo account because I ran out of 1GB space and I needed more .. so .. with Google you'll never run out of space!

    Cheers,

    Venetsian.

Once I had problems with Yahoo Mail, and I wrote to the support. Next day I was surprised that they have replied that they fixed the problem. I think they do care about Yahoo Mail users.

If you did something wrong that broke TOS in any way your gone.

Last year I uploaded a video for a friend, the video had her falling down on the stairs and when she was getting up her breast showed for like 1/2 a sec.

    THEY OWNED ME!

They took me out, my finance account was gone, i lost all access to my domain name (i got them now), my yahoo video account was owned, yahoo games ranking owned!

My hotjob resume was blown to pieces.

And the email you will get is TOS link or if teh guys is nice he/she will show you in email what part you broke.
Basically everything that i own that was within google corporation connected to that one email address :-(

same thing happened to gmail users before. better user your own domain and pop3 email, so you can keep all emails on YOUR computer.
