and I want to it horzontal again. How do I fix it so that it is on the bottom of the monitor instead of at the righthand side? I tired dragging it and it doesn't work.
Right click on the taskbar and uncheck "Lock the Taskbar". Then drag it, then lock it again to prevent expansion and what not.
You know Stefan - I've just been playing around with all the Start Menu settings trying to figure this one out. Never crossed my mind to look at the task bar. Rep coming your way.
Hey thanks man. Yeah I was fooling around in the Start Menu settings for a bit, but then I remembered the lock the tasbar thing. Not so bad for a Mac user. Lucky thing I was on my PC I guess or I would have been no help.
Dragging it will work but you need to persevere. Grab it and drag the pointer as far as you can in the direction you want it to go - it will look as if nothing is happening (i.e. as if it isn't dragging) with the menu and then all of a sudden it will flip into place.
Hey, it's windows, sometimes it can be hard to figure out. You should rephrase that to: "Some people shouldn't use Windows." Wait until you try to conquer *.nix OS's.
