My Whypark Site got Copied

So I was checking my statcounter log on my whypark test page, and I noticed a new referral link.

    Original site (mine)
    http://moneyne.ws

    copied site:
    http://areyouhomeless.com

I had put a link from my whypark back to my blog, and if you go to the blog link, both pages go to my blog. The site is also a whypark site, and quite frankly I only changed 2 things to the default whypark template.

Now how lazy can someone get lol. I'm trying to figure out what I should do at the moment. Any advice?

My statcounter stats are starting to get messed up, and I’m not sure how. I’m getting incoming links hits showing up for the copied site (if someone goes to their site I get a unique visitor showing up for my site). Wouldn’t this person need to have access to the template file in order for the statcounter script to work? Google analytics data doesn’t show anything, just my statcounter log. I’m all confused now.

Not sure why it is so confusing. They copied your statcounter code too, so to statcounter, those pages are part of your site and are being tracked accordingly.

One doesn't need anything special to get that code from a website - anyone can see it.

Looking at the source code on those sites, you can see that both sites have the same statcounter code. That site also has your google analytics code.

Whypark is a domain park/host service so I can't copywrite anything on there I don't think. However, now I have a couple hundred extra site-wide backlinks to my blog from that site =P

So what exactly is your aim here? You dont own the template, and by your own admission you've only changed 2 small things on there so why do you feel so offended? I wouldent waste your time on this issue, you dont have anything to go with.

At first I thought it was just this person. I've been looking into some other weird things showing up on my blog log, and stat counter logs. It might be an issue of my custom template (custom being the blog link only =P) being saved into whypark's database. It might explain why a couple different domain owners with new whypark sites have my blog linked in them, cause I don't think these people know they have a link on their sites linking to me .

isn't there some way we can deal with this. I have a small site that was copied from to. But small site, not even earning money so I didn't bother.

So I just checked my analytics code and noticed I was getting hits on my site from digital point forums. I thought to myself, "I have never linked to that site on dp." I found this rather humorous.

I have my own analytics code on the domain for areyouhomeless.com, but if you view the source code it shows your analytics code as well. Kind of funny.

I just thought the template you designed looked nice.

I didn't design the template, it was the basic template provided by whypark to which I only added a link to. I just thought it was funny myself since it gave me a sitewide backlink to my blog =).

I like the style of your adjustments on that. I think most people here are right.. Anyone can just grab source and copy it, alter it..etc. It happens. But still, it's annoying.

how many whypark sites do you have?
