my wesites loading time

    i used some application to test my page load time. it is quite large as compared to others. how to decrease it? i have w3chache plugin too.

    Hello there,

    You would need to figure out if it is your site that is causing the load issues, or, the server you are hosted on. Do you have lots of links to external content? One of those links may be slowing your page load speeds down as well.

    might be there is bad optimization, or bad web hosting, and more issues
    so better you should check the uptime speed and bandwidth of your website. or change the hosting provider who has great uptime and high bandwidth.

    Hi Michal is right you should check for your web hosting and design of your website as well. Here are some Best Practices to speed up your Website: Minimize HTTP Requests, Put Stylesheets at the Top, Avoid CSS Expressions, Put Scripts at the Bottom, Make JavaScript and CSS External, Reduce DNS Lookups, Avoid Redirects, Remove Duplicate Scripts, Make Ajax Cacheable, Reduce the Number of DOM Elements, Minimize the Number of iframes, Avoid Empty Image src.

    The problem may with your web hosting. Also check the contents on the site, I mean the files uploaded, images, etc. Use of extra images and javascript slows the loading. If you are giving any link to a website that uses iframes a lot, the loading time increases.

    there are numerous issue to slow down the website, in which major issue is the video uploaded from flash video player with youtube, then the several features like CSS, java script, flash, frames which also reduces the uploading speed of the website.
    If this might not be an issue then the hosting provider has low uptime and bandwidth,

    you should first need to check, it script slowing the page or your hosting, what server load your server has that as well you should able to see in your cpanel account

    If you have flash images and sound files ..you can optimize them to load faster by setting them to load after the rest of the site.

    Reduce the plugins added in your website, use light weight images, also add Gzip compression for images css javascript, set expire header also optimize the DB query if you have more db query in your page
