    from 30,000 down to 3,000.

But, my links on google at the moment have climbed from 301 to 900, and beta msn from 600 to almost 800.

hopefully those increases keep coming. :)

Links have nothing to do with your base weight. Your total weight is calculated from the number of pages reported in the Google index by the google API and the PR of your home page plus any referral bonuses you have received.

Well, its all too confusing for me. I dont think my PR has changed, and I doubt my pages at google have dropped that severely, so not sure why my weight would drop that fast in a 24 hour period

If your seeing many results for your site: search with only titles without description, it might be time to point a few high PR links to it. The API usually drops pages much before the site: search does.. this was mentioned before in some thread I think

I don't understand the point of these posts sometimes. Its no secret how weight is calculated so just keep track of your PR and the number of pages indexed and you can easily figure out the problem.

You would be better suited to asking why Google dropped your pages then posting a vague statement like "My weight went down"

Nick, I think you need to start reading threads before you post. You might actually find you answer.

I have no idea what your site URL is, but if you have used tricks to generate a lot of pages just to have content, or your content could be considered spam by someone looking at it, most likely Google is simply filtering it.

shawn: the same amount of pages are in google as there has always been, I can't see why the base is 0 for all my sites?

I have a simple little script on my own site that uses the API, http://www.ki4bbo.org/ggoogle/ you can try that :)

    Josh

edit: I just realised I forgot to code it to show the total results.. so that wont be much help :p

wow really weird my API key was dodgy, it even stopped the keyword tool working, I went and got a new one and it works fine.
