    Hey,
I read some articles said that google prefers website which updated regularly so If I create a small niche website talk about a one sickness for example and I posted 10 articles and each article contains more than 1000 words after I don't find a topic to share it because I told about all things in my niche.... so what I do in this case ?? and the rank of my website they will affected or not ?
I thought to add new category and talk about other sickness so what do you think ? and what's best thing I should do ?

I'm guessing your site is "made for adsense" if you can only drum up 10 articles.

In the medical world there is always new research being done, new charlatans offering false hope who need to be discredited, new medical centres offering treatment, and survivors with personal stories.

If you have a genuine interest in the niche you shouldn't find it too hard to come up with new content.

Thank you sarahk for your reply ! My question it's about seo and if google will rank down my website in case it is not updating
and about my website it's directed to simple users who looks for simple information and they don't care about new research.....etc

Then yes, you will be impacted negatively by not updating your site

Plus your information will quickly get out of date
I was giving you suggestions on how to combat that problem.

The fresh content myth! is it really true? I suggest you test it yourself with 10 to 20 domains and let me know the results...My answer is it depends upon the keyword you are targeting... if your targeting NBA schedule then you should update it often. For other keywords like "what is banana" do you really need to create hundreds of content for it?

It really depends upon the keyword your targeting and I'm sure search engine also knows this!

    :)

I'd agree with you there too, but the OP has a "sickness" niche which is hugely competitive as well as being an industry where there always seems to be something new to say. By all means show me a minor site whose homepage hasn't changed in, say, 3 years for topics such as morbid obesity, lung disease or dementia that still ranks well.

Taking "dementia advice" because it's something I know a little about and allowing for my first page having different results to yours but here's what I get
    1. https://www.alzheimers.org.uk/caring - doesn't seem to have changed since it was created last year but I'd suggest that the site has sufficient "authority" to carry the page
    2. http://www.dementia.com/coping-with.html - looks static but it's a site created by a major pharma company who again will carry the page
    3. http://www.dementia.com/coping-with.html - another well established site but these guys include a calendar of events to keep the page fresh
    4. https://www.alz.org/care/ - another authority site with links to recent forum questions to keep the page fresh
    5. http://www.alz.org/i-have-alz/tips-for-daily-life.asp - same site but not on the https
    6. http :// www. myagedcare .gov. au/caring-someone-particular-need/caring-someone-dementia - large Australian Government website
    7. http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/dementia-guide/Pages/dementia-help-and-support.aspx - from the NHS in the UK
    8. http://www.alzheimers.org.nz/get-support/supporting-someone - official page from NZ (where I am)
    9. https://www.homewatchcaregivers.com/home-care-resources/dementia/care-tips offering a real world service
    10. https://www.alzheimer.ie/living-with-dementia/i-am-a-carer/practical-tips-for-daily-living.aspx The Irish website
Not one of those links points to a website with 10 articles - the pages may not get frequent updates but the sites are well established and have real world authority. Without knowing @Malik Mstr's niche I can't make a similar analysis but I'm expecting that his site would sink like a stone.

You need fresh vegetables and all food items on daily basis. Same thing also applies to your blog. When you don't update your website content, It will start dying and people start ignoring your site. fresh content keeps your blog active and young.

Well, Content is called king of any website. If you don't update content in regular basis then definitely your website ranking gets affected and may be google put some penalty as well. so, update your website content more frequent. It's good for SEO point of view as well.

    Thanks

I believe you can also add commenting and user comments would also be considered as content update.

Fresh content has value but quality backlinks will help rank the website much faster than fresh content. If the content is in high competition niche then you will not get traffic unless value backlinks are build and content is ranking high.

In some niches is it ok to not update your content to frequent, but if you won't do that you should be sure that your website is perfectly onpage optimized.

Yeah I agree with the above. Focus on onpage SEO and title, H1 tags, keywords etc. However you may already have done that.

My recommendation is set up a schedule, and post new content at least every few days / week. Google does like active sites and it is more likely to bring back repeat users.
