My website went down for a few hours and now the search engines hate me

About a week ago my website that was ranking highly for most of my posts went down for a few hours, during this period of time the search engines crawled and realized that it wasn't responding and therefore penalized me by ranking all my pages to the bottom.

Has anything like this ever happened to any of you?

Usually the pages will come back the next time google crawls them. Give it another week or two and your rankings should be back.

 

Build some link and do Social bookmarking.. I think this will be okay to pull your site up

A few hours of downtime wouldn't cause that. The search engines are smart enough to realize when a server is down.

 

How you know that search engines crawled your site during that time ?
It's just normal. It happens to most of the sites... all you have to do is to concentrate on the content and build some backlinks, it'll be back.

Are you using black hat technique? If not start doing off page optimization so that you can regain your website traffic.

 

my site was recieving good traffic from search engine, but now it is recieving very less may be the reason is that it is a splog or something there is too much dublicate content or something

 

Might be the shuffling is for little time, but do hard work build some good links and submit articles for your site.
