Maybe the google dance could be responsible, you should wait for a few weeks to see if your rankings return to normal. Maybe you inadvertently broke the rules and google punished you. Or maybe your niche has become more competitive and you have to build more backlinks to regain your placement in the serps.
what kingofsanda said is absolutely right. It might be a good idea to check out the websites that are ranking above you in these areas and carry out a little "investigative" work to see if they have more traffic, backlinks ect than yours. Than you can get a better idea of what happened and what you need to do.
