    Hi,
My website www.1000traveltips.org was in the google search index for many years and was also ranking quite well for some competitive keywords. Few months ago, my server was down for a week and i forgot to notice it. Since then my site is missing from google. I thought it will come back with time but it just hasnt. I have a lot of backlinks pointing to my site, so the bots finding my site shouldnt have been a problem. How to get it back in the google index. Can I report it to them somewhere.
    regards

I got one of my sites reindexed once by writing to them...it took like 3 or 4 weeks but I only sent one email.

unfortunately I can't remember the URL but look around for about 10 minutes in their help area http://www.google.com/intl/en/about.html or look around on the site. There is a way to contact them and they were responsive in my case

if you have a google webmaster account you can submit a re-inclusion request.

    Good luck.

Just wait for some days and than go for re-inclusion.coz google updates is going on and sometimes it may happen that it does not show your site on some data center.so make sure that it is deindexed from all data center and than go for re-inclusion.
my advice is just make some trusted inbound one way link for your site.it will be re-indexed soon.

    all d best

Waiting normally works, I was #1 on google for a few keywords relating to one of my sites, then my hosting messed up and it was offline for a month, been back up for two weeks and almost all back to normal. Does fluctuate a fiar bit, but if not email for reinclusion after a month or so.

After you logged in, search for the tools expandable link on the top right of the page :)

My website has dropped out of Google twice from high listing

    - first time, my server ran out of disc space. Then Google thought the website was offline so it de-listed it. Within 30 days or so it was back up and listed in Google.

    - 2nd time was recently with the Google shuffle

Yes, your web server has BIG problems. You need to fix/move service provider otherwise Googlebot will reject your website. Try http://www.iserver.com , they are pretty reliable and about $85 a month with unlimited domains.
